Made in France.
Exclusive to KD BIEL.
The Fontenille-Patuad Laguiole Magnum is a truly exceptional corkscrew, skillfully crafted by French knife maker in the artisan tradition. With an ergonomic, polished bone handle that fits comfortably in the palm and provides an improved grip when opening your wine. Exceptional and smooth cork removal is the result of a two-step long leverage boot made from one single piece of metal (patented), a handfiled spring with the forged "Bee" emblem (the traditional signature of French knife making skills), a thin and tapered corkscrew "worm" that does not swell the cork excessively, and a sharpened blade is not serrated so it doesn't tear the metal foil of your bottle.
Fontenille-Pataud was founded in 1929. It quickly became recognized as a manufacturer of high-end table knives admired and revered for their expertise and use of ivory, horn and other fine wood. As a testimony to their craft, some of these knives are permanently on display at the French knife museum in Thiers, France.
