Marius Fabre's cube of 100% natural Marseille LIQUID soap is made using olive oil and is free from artificial colourings, fragrance, and chemicals. Olive oil is well-known for its moisturising properties and is very gentle on the skin. Since 1900, the Marius Fabre company in Salon-de-Provence exclusively crafts Marseilles soap. In 1688, Louis XIV laid down by means of an Edict by (the king’s minister Colbert), the rules which institutionalised Marseille soap: production in cauldrons and only based on vegetable oils. Marius Fabre still usess this time-honored method of fabrication, supported by chemical analysis, to produce “real” Marseille soap as it should be done.
